Académie des savoir-faire: Paper
Since 2014, the Académie des savoir-faire has brought together professionals every two years to collectively explore a universal material across disciplines, combining innovation, experimentation, and eco-responsibility.
For its seventh edition, dedicated to paper in 2025, the Fondation d’entreprise Hermès aims to highlight this major invention, which originated in China centuries before our era.
Combining lightness and strength, functionality and aesthetics, paper remains a vital material for communication and creativity. Its abundant production reflects a wealth of craftsmanship and traditions. Both a challenge and a solution, paper lies at the heart of key contemporary issues such as recycling, resource management and ecological transition.
Throughout 2025, the Fondation d’entreprise Hermès is hosting a series of events exploring the theme of paper.
On Saturday 14 June 2025, join Joseph Belletante, director of the Musée de l’Imprimerie et de la Communication graphique, for the morning session Ink and Light at the Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord, Paris 10ᵉ.
